We have learned that when reading fiction, characters and their attributes, or traits are important to notice. A character's traits can be both physical(external), emotional (internal), or told to the reader through symbolic naming.
- Choose two (2) characters from the book that you are reading and describe both their internal and external traits based on the story.
- Comment and add to two (2) of your classmates' posts.
I red the first two characters of the book The Giver but I couldn't understand to much what of the characters means, I feel that I need more in this area to understand.
ReplyDeleteHi Dinora,
ReplyDeleteDo you know who the characters are? We met Jonas and his family. In chapter 3 last night, we met another character that will be staying with Jonas's family. Do you think you can name any of them?
The Giver
ReplyDeleteI read the book and it seemed interesting from the beginning to the end, the characters interested me but only a few of them called my full attention, Jonas and Gabriel. Everyone in the community is equal with the exception of these two. Jonas was different in all ways, and even knowing the rules of the community He preferred not to say what he really saw or felt, Jonas had something special that made him different from the others, Jonas had rare characteristics, bravery, wisdom, courage, Intelligence, the ability to see beyond, among others, that how he became a The Receiver of Memories. Gabriel the little baby from the Nurtures arrived at Jonas's family unit , the baby was also different, from the beginning he did not fit in the Nurtures Center, his weight was low and he cried a lot, even Gabriel's skin color, eyes and hair were different to the others babies, when Jonah saw Gabriel, he noticed that he was equal to Him and so it was that until the end they ended up together.
